Explora for Educators - this is an excellent search tool to collect/curate articles and books and is a great place to start if you or students are collecting info for student research projects (social studies, biographies, math, art, music, science, geography, language arts).
Kids Infobits - an excellent database for students to use when completing research. Topics are suggested but searches can also be completed.

The World Almanac for Kids (Elementary) - Excellent source for research of topics including citizenship, animal facts, science, inventors, athletes, US info, etc. Includes videos! There are also teacher resources.
